Consultation on Proposed Admission Policies 2020/2021 Academic Year

Babcock International, who deliver a number of education services for our authority, have asked us to share the information below with you.  They are requesting that you share your views on proposed admission policies.  We ask that you take a look as you may want to share your views on local schools or schools you may wish your child to go to in the future.  

Community or Voluntary Controlled Schools

Consultation is now taking place on the admission arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled schools for the academic year 2020/2021.  There are several options to be considered, it is very important that you view the documentation and make a response before 7th December 2018 .  This consultation is open to all relevant parents and we would ask that you bring this consultation to their attention using your weekly news bulletin/text service.  The documents can be viewed in full at the following link and are also attached.

Academy, Foundation, Free or Voluntary Aided Schools

In the case of an Academy, Foundation, Free or Voluntary Aided school, any parent wishing to comment on the proposed policy should put their comments in writing addressed to the Governing Body/Academy Trust at the school. Parents should contact the school directly for the address and the date by which comments must be made. Please note not all schools are required to consult. The proposed admission arrangements for those schools requiring consultation for 2020/2021 can be viewed below.

    Christmas Service (Nativity) at St Michael's Church 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM

    Parents are welcome to attend the service and asked to collect their child directly from the Church. Only children who are in WAC or attending gymnastics will be escorted back to school .

    Magical Reading Experience/Non-uniform reward All Day

    If children have gained enough reads (evidenced by their Reading Records) they will be given a certificate the end of the week before to let them know if they will be taking part in a magical reading experience and/or coming into school in non-uniform as a reward.
